Within the scope of EIA study, the potential positive and negative environmental impacts of the Milten Tourism Facility and Yacht Marina-Dry Dock Area (marina for 550 yachts, dry dock area for 92 yachts and 1028-room hotel) were determined.
For the active participation of the local people to the EIA process, a Public Participation Meeting was held in the nearest settlement and the project was explained in detail.
In the context of current situation determination study, immission and noise measurements were performed at the project area, and water samples were collected for analysis from the sea water.
In order to determine the flora and fauna of the project area and impact area, sampling studies were carried out by expert biologists on land and at sea, and the outcomes supported with literature review were reported.
The Batimetric and Oceanographic studies required for construction works on the sea were coordinated.
Quantitative data obtained from current situation determination studies and potential dust and noise emissions from the plant were evaluated cumulatively and impact modelling studies were conducted.
By also considering the concerns of the local community, the measures to be taken in accordance with the Turkish Environmental Legislation for mitigation of the potential negative effects were explained in the EIA Report.
