For the period 2009-2014, national and regional/local waste management plan was prepared covering 12 different waste streams (municipal wastes, packaging wastes, hazardous wastes, sewage sludge, waste oils, waste batteries and accumulators, electrical and electronic waste, PCB and PCTs, end-of-life vehicles, medical wastes, vegetable oils, end-of-life tires) in accordance with the format specified in the Methodology for the Preparation of Waste Management Plan prepared by the European Commission Directorate-General Environment. Cost analysis was provided for priority investment projects.
